Road transport ministry asked to minimise suffering

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Road Transport and Bridges Ministry on Thursday suggested the government to avoid any further complexity and public sufferings in implementing the metro rail project.


The committee, chaired by Md Akabbar Hossain, also recommended the ministry to take measures to complete the ongoing development projects under Dhaka Zone of Roads and Highways Department within the stipulated time. 


The parliamentary committee came up with the suggestions at its 12th meeting held at the Jatiya Sangsad (parliament). Besides, the progress of implementation on various development projects under the Dhaka Zone of the Department was also discussed. 


Committee members, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Rejwan Ahammad Taufiq, Nurruzaman Ahmed, Fayzur Rahman and Monirul Islam attended the meeting.
